It’s no secret that we adore pink here at David Austin and certainly no coincidence that two of our brand-new wedding roses are perfectly pink. Today we’re bringing you heaps of pink wedding inspiration with our new additions, Millicent and Hettie, taking centre stage in our latest editorial at The Athenaeum – one of the most beautiful and sought-after wedding venues in California. The overall vibe is fresh, flirty and chic, with lots of stylish, thoughtful details that you’re sure to want to steal for your own pink wedding.
Pink rose bridal bouquets
The bride showcases two stunning blush pink wedding gowns from New York bridal designer, Sareh Nouri. For the ceremony, she wears a strapless slim flare gown in ivory Chinese silk, with a pale pink bow cape wrap that creates a dramatic silhouette. The gown is complemented by an asymmetrical bridal bouquet, featuring fuchsia pink Hettie and vibrant Gloriosa lilies alongside blousy Constance, Charity, Keira and Beatrice roses.
The bride switches up her bridal look for the reception, changing into an incredible blush high-low dress with dramatic tulle underskirt and chapel train. It features one of the hot trends of the season, floral appliqué, with a square neckline and long sleeves. The heavily-detailed dress calls for a simple cluster of Millicent roses, which perfectly highlight the pink tones of the floral lace appliqué.
Dramatic floral wedding décor
A dramatic wedding gown calls for a dramatic ceremony so Tula Rosa Flowers created a spectacular floral display around the stone steps and Corinthian columns at the entrance to The Athenaeum. The colourful rose palette blended from deep pink Hettie to the softer pinks of Keira, Constance, Miranda and Millicent. Touches of golden Beatrice trailed around the stonework to create the most romantic ceremony setting.
Bountiful compote designs in small stone urns decorate the reception tables, overflowing with fragrant roses and striking Gloriosa lilies. A pale pink floral tablecloth, blush taper candles and gold cutlery make for a dreamy tablescape that perfectly complements the bride’s floral appliqué reception dress We know how much bows are trending this year, so we added swathes of rose pink taffeta tied to the bride and groom’s chairs for that feeling of elegant extravagance.
Pink bubbles and cake
It’s the fine details that make an event extraordinary. We embraced some special touches to really elevate this editorial from the stunning flower-framed champagne tower and the assortment of miniature pink wedding cakes. Meanwhile, the elegant wedding stationery with floral envelope liner and handwritten pink script set the tone of the event from the first moment.
